Wait staff were great, I just wasn't that impressed with the food. I had fish tacos on corn tortillas; fish was cooked well, nice and flaky, but the overall flavor wasn't anything special. Loved the red hot sauce...it helped make the tacos more interesting.
My second visit. Excellent again. The tacos and sauces are the real deal. Well worth the drive.
Cilantro is like sitting down at the table of a Mexican friend's house and being able to choose whatever you want to eat for lunch or dinner. The food is the most authentic that I have tasted in 50 years. Everything is made from scratch, and their meats have never been inside a freezer, which makes a HUGE difference in both taste and texture. I had steak fajitas, which came to the table hot, sizzling, and oh so delicious. My daughter ordered shrimp nachos. The shrimp was still being shelled in the kitchen, so our server had to check on it to see if there was enough to make her dish. It was absolutely delightful! Her nacho was 10 times better than the Billy Baroo at Moes. There were layers with melted NACHO cheese and other ingredients, such as black and red beans, olives, etc. The flavor of both dishes was incredible! My main complaint about this place is it's too far from my house in Bell, so I can't go there every day! Try it. You'll be glad you did.
The food is excellent. Love the family feel and the prices are reasonable. Love the Meth family! The flan is amazing!
The food is absolutely delicious. I've been there a few times and the burritos are great. My only complaint would be the floors are usually kind of dirty. But other than that the restaurant itself is clean and the food taste fantastic. The staff are extremely friendly as well.
